C*Core Technology Partners with Shenzhen Company to Launch Cutting-Edge AI Sensor Module

On March 17, 2025, C*Core Technology (stock code: 688262) announced a deep collaboration with Shenzhen Meidian Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as “Meidian Technology”). The two companies have jointly launched an AI sensor module centered around C*Core Technology’s first edge AI chip, the CCR4001S.

According to reports, this module has already been successfully implemented in practical applications.

Deep Integration of RISC-V Architecture and AI Acceleration

According to industry sources, C*Core Technology’s CCR4001S chip serves as the core of this collaboration. The chip employs an independently developed RISC-V architecture core called CRV4H, operating at a clock frequency of 230MHz while maintaining a balance between high performance and low power consumption. The chip integrates a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) with 0.3 TOPS@INT8 computing power, supporting mainstream deep learning algorithms such as MobileNet, ResNet, and YOLO for efficient completion of tasks like object recognition and image classification. Its technical highlights include:

  • Heterogeneous Computing Capability: Through collaborative design between the RISC-V CPU and NPU, the chip achieves synchronized multi-modal processing of visual, biological signals, and environmental parameters, significantly enhancing real-time response capabilities of edge devices.
  • Low Power Optimization: The NPU employs operator fusion technology and distributed cache architecture to reduce frequent access to external storage, effectively lowering power consumption, making it suitable for industrial sensors, smart home applications, and similar scenarios.
  • Domestic Technology Ecosystem: Based on the independently developed RISC-V core’s software and hardware development environment, a complete domestic technology closed loop has been constructed, helping the industry chain reduce dependency on foreign technologies.

What are the application scenarios?

The newly launched AI sensor module resolves the pain point of data fragmentation in traditional IoT devices through an integrated “perception-analysis-decision” architecture. Specific applications include:

  • Industrial Sector: Intelligent Motor Control: Combining thermopile sensors with YOLO object detection models to dynamically optimize energy consumption and implement fault prediction, improving production line efficiency.
  • Product Defect Detection: Integrating modules into sorting robots, enhancing inspection accuracy through real-time edge image analysis.

 

Consumer Electronics:

  • Smart Air Conditioners: Merging human position detection with comfort modeling to achieve active adjustment of air conditioning direction and temperature, reducing deployment costs by 65% compared to traditional solutions.
  • Baby Monitoring: Through motion capture and biological signal analysis, accomplishing real-time monitoring of complex scenarios such as fever warning and respiratory suppression, shortening the development cycle by 40%.

 

Specifically regarding the baby monitoring scenario, the aforementioned integrated “perception-analysis-decision” architecture forms a three-dimensional comprehensive assessment of the baby’s condition by merging motion capture data, body temperature fluctuation curves, and temporal environmental parameters. In the intelligent care solution formed by the cooperation between the two parties, the new architecture innovatively achieves precise judgment of complex events by edge intelligent devices. Through optimized computing architecture, it accomplishes real-time monitoring of complex scenarios such as fever warning, blanket-kicking detection, respiratory suppression identification, and vomiting judgment, reducing system deployment costs by approximately 65% and shortening the development cycle by 40% compared to traditional cloud-based architectures.

C*Core Technology’s 2024 financial report shows that its automotive electronics and AI chip business revenue increased by 24% year-on-year, with AI MCU chips becoming an important driver of revenue growth.

This collaboration further consolidates its advantages in the edge computing field: First, policy benefits—as an open-source instruction set architecture, if RISC-V receives national-level support, it will accelerate the penetration of domestic chips in IoT, vehicle networking, and other fields. C*Core Technology has established strategic partnerships with companies like Meidian Technology and Kongjie Intelligence, forming a vertical integration capability of “chip + sensor + algorithm” to promote the scaled implementation of edge intelligence solutions.
